As a Senior Manager in the Compensation Consulting team, you will primarily be responsible for opportunity cultivation, leading, and delivering on client engagements, serving as a strategic advisor to the firm's clients, and growing the Compensation Consulting practice. Your role involves expanding client service for compensation strategy development, pay equity, compensation and incentive plan design, compensation committee support, and C-suite and board advisory. You will collaborate with colleagues across various practices, develop and maintain key client and other stakeholder relationships, manage multiple complex projects, and provide high-quality consulting advice. Additionally, you may contribute thought leadership, identify cross-selling opportunities, and serve as performance advisor to other consultants.

  • Create and execute strategies to expand client service, identifying opportunities to expand or enhance products and services.
  • Build relationships to maximize client service growth and provide significant input on identifying target clients.
  • Lead and deliver client engagements, serving as a first-choice advisor in areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Oversee documentation, presentations, and reports for client meetings and project deliverables.
  • Assist in monitoring and understanding regulatory changes and industry standards related to compensation and taxation.
  • Manage team pipeline, oversee operational excellence, and provide training and mentoring to other consultants.
  • Build relationships internally and work collaboratively with team members across functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • CCP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR-HR, or SPHR-HR designation.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic compensation consulting including client-facing roles and leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles including board governance, compensation committee communications, and market analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent client service skills, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, growth-oriented with ability to build a professional network.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Knowledge of HRIS platforms and compensation management software.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task within a high volume environment with minimal supervision.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Recent experience working with a national professional services or compensation consulting firm.
  • Working knowledge of tax impacts of various compensation components.
  • Experience working with various industries and ownership structures including publicly and privately owned companies.
  • Ability to learn quickly, deal with ambiguity, and think independently.
  • Ability to lead, impact and influence change.
  • Experience working with project management technologies/tools (Smartsheet, etc.).
  • WorkDay HCM experience.
