About The Position

The Senior Director of Commissioning & Controls will lead the strategy, execution, and governance of the commissioning program and Building Management System (BMS)/Controls architecture across Crusoe’s hyperscale data center portfolio. This leader ensures all mechanical, electrical, and controls systems perform reliably, safely, and efficiently from design through operations. This role is central to Crusoe’s rapid hyperscale development program and is responsible for delivering consistent, concurrently maintainable, Tier III+ facilities that support AI/HPC workloads at industry-leading PUE and uptime performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in data center commissioning, controls engineering, or mission-critical facility operations.
  • Strong background with BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC logic, and MEP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading commissioning programs for hyperscale/large-scale campuses (>50 MW preferred).
  • Deep fluency in Tier III/Tier III+ design principles, redundancy strategies, and failover logic.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive multiple simultaneous sites.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, construction, vendors, and operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high-density/AI cooling technologies.
  • PE license, PMP, or CxA certification.
  • Experience developing enterprise controls standards across multiple geographies.
  • Previous experience in a fast-growth, startup or scale-up environment.
