About The Position

United States Olympic and Paralympic Properties (USOPP) is a commercial joint venture between the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2028 (LA28) and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC). The USOPP is the sole entity charged with marketing and selling combined commercial assets, including rights to the U.S Olympic and Paralympic Teams and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. As LA28 continues to grow its Commercial Partner portfolio, the Senior Manager of Commercial Asset Development will support the packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for new and evolved rights, benefits, assets, and programs for Sponsors and Prospects. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in driving economic impact for both LA28 and Team USA. They will guide the strategic development of innovative commercial programs that serve Partners’ brand and business goals, as well as help LA28 and Team USA reach their highest potential. As a member of a fully-integrated team across USOPP, LA28, USOPC, and Legends Global organizations, the Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to identify and project manage opportunities for Partner integration and activation. This person will also work in close collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Paralympic Committee (IPC), and NBC to ensure alignment on partnership strategy and value delivery, and will make key decisions regarding all aspects of program commercialization.

Requirements

  • Strong cross-functional skills, with an ability to manage multiple internal/external stakeholders with varying business needs and priorities
  • Hands-on experience developing customized sales materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) Los Angeles, CA
  • 7+ years in sports sponsorship activation, strategy, and/or program development (property, agency, or brand)
  • Thorough understanding of sponsorship value-drivers and brand KPI’s (direct success measurement and reporting experience preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment preferred
  • Business operations, P&L management, and program execution skills a plus
  • Direct experience in Olympic and Paralympic Movement a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead workstreams with assigned LA28 Functional Areas to identify, package, and price Games programs for commercialization through existing partnerships and/or new business opportunities
  • Assess economic potential of net-new assets and programs for select sales prospects
  • Collaborate on asset strategy, packaging, and delivery planning with USOPC, NBC, and NGBs (as needed)
  • Coordinate with IOC/IPC on program rights & benefits and communication plans
  • Develop customized proposals and support sell-in conversations and follow-ups with partners/prospects
  • Oversee Commercial Partner rights & benefits matrices and track inventory for commercial programs, including LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Torch Relays, Venue Naming Rights, and Making Team USA Run
  • sponsorship category and prospect analyses, in support of Partnership Sales team
  • Communicate status updates to internal and executive stakeholders
  • Other duties, as assigned
