About The Position

The Senior Manager, Chart of Accounts, Legal Entities, and Special Projects will lead the design, governance, and optimization of the organization’s global financial structure, including the chart of accounts (COA), legal entity framework, and cross-functional finance transformation initiatives. This role serves as a strategic bridge between Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure the integrity, scalability, and efficiency of the company’s financial reporting architecture. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in financial systems, a strong understanding of global accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from design through execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 8+ years in progressive experience in accounting and finance systems, or finance transformation roles
  • Prior experience managing a global COA and/or legal entity structure in a large, multinational organization required.
  • Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and data governance tools.
  • Proven track record in managing complex cross-functional projects or transformation initiatives

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Chart of Accounts (COA) Governance & Optimization
  • Be the data steward for COA, lead the design, maintenance, and governance of the global COA, ensuring alignment with business needs, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Drive simplification and standardization of account structures across business units and geographies.
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Systems teams to ensure consistent COA usage and data integrity in ERP and reporting systems.
  • Develop and enforce COA governance policies, including change management and documentation processes, and review COA on a regular basis
  • Legal Entity Management
  • Oversee the accuracy and consistency of the company’s global legal entity structure within financial systems, including but not limited to performing legal entity reconciliation.
  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, and Legal to manage legal entity setups, mergers, dissolutions, and reorganizations.
  • Support entity rationalization and intercompany process improvements.
  • Partner with IT and other teams to maintain and manage the appropriate approvals related to legal entities, and obtain necessary supporting documentation for SOX purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory, statutory, and reporting requirements related to entity structures.
  • Special Projects & Finance Transformation
  • Lead or support key finance transformation initiatives such as ERP upgrades, system integrations, reorganizations, and new business model implementations.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams on system design and process alignment.
  • Manage special projects involving financial data structure, governance, or reporting automation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability across the financial ecosystem.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts or specialists supporting financial data governance.
  • Collaborate effectively across Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and IT to align structures with business goals.
  • Communicate complex technical and accounting concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Present recommendations and status updates to senior leadership
