About The Position
As a Financial Analyst at Google, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company makes sound financial decisions. Your responsibilities will include modeling business scenarios, tracking performance metrics, and providing insights that are used by leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on the details while also addressing larger challenges creatively. This position requires you to be both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners within the core Finance team, as well as supporting your own team in their development into financial experts. The Central Finance Team is dedicated to supporting Google Cloud leadership by providing timely, accurate, and actionable insights that drive growth and profitability. You will manage the consolidated Google Cloud P&L and maintain a perspective on free cash flow. Your deep business knowledge and data-driven insights will position you as an integral partner and strategic advisor to the Cloud leadership team. You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive the right outcomes for the Cloud business and influence Corporate finance teams regarding the unique nature of the Google Cloud product area operating model. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for transforming business activities, including competitive and market intelligence, external communications and metrics, regulatory finance, and deep analytics for executive decision-making. You will deliver insights to management on major competitive dynamics and landscape shifts, perform ad hoc analyses, and incorporate competitive insights into Google Cloud's long-range planning. Additionally, you will develop a governance model and tracking mechanism for managing data and processes related to disclosing metrics externally, and establish statistical frameworks to enable executive-level resource allocation decision-making. Your work will also involve driving automation and scaling long-range analytical solutions in collaboration with the Google Cloud Finance Optimization Office and Corporation partners.
