About The Position

The Campus Operations Senior Manager provides strategic oversight to the operations of a specific campus. This role reports to the campus Provost. The Campus Operations Senior Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating operational functions of the campus in coordination with statewide processes. The incumbent plays a critical role in supporting the department's mission and goals by ensuring efficient and effective operations across various areas

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably higher education or in a complex organization that requires collaboration with both internal and external partners.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing teams and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Office of the Provost by responding and sometimes acting on behalf of the Provost with tact and diplomacy; has oversight of communications including presentations, talking points, agendas, and correspondence; represents the Provost on working groups and committees to advance the planning and successful outcomes of initiatives, as appropriate.
  • Strategically collaborate with the Provosts and Associate Provosts to manage priorities within the Office of the Provost to ensure critical projects, meetings, activities are designed and executed to advance the college’s initiatives and goals.
  • Oversee effective and efficient operations and workflows for the Office of the Provost and cross functional local and statewide partners to include class scheduling, faculty loading and enrollment management.
  • Ensure key activities, projects and initiatives are implemented through partnership and collaboration for the local campus and within Operations and cross-functional teams across the institution to support an effective integrated academic ecosystem.
  • Develop knowledge and awareness of programs/projects and important issues to assist in the anticipation of needs, identification of potential challenges and pitfalls, consideration of implications, evaluation of priorities, and gathering of relevant information.
  • Define issues, perform research, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop sound conclusions and recommendations on complex issues.
  • Lead, mentor and supervise administrative support staff, reporting to the Provost’s Office
  • Act as a liaison between the Operations Business Office and internal or external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other college leaders and teammates to enhance coordination, collaboration and communication between and among programs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to instructional leadership, promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Practice servant leadership, focusing on the well-being and success of team members
  • Manage and coordinate the Office of the Provost budgetary resources and processes
  • Provide guidance and support to staff regarding budgetary needs and issues
  • Assist in the formulation, interpretation and implementation of academic and administrative policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Support student success and retention through coordination with the Retention Services and C.A.R.E teams.
