The Senior Manager, Business Process Owner will lead the design, configuration, roll out and ongoing support of a new internal legal matter management (“Work Management”) system to improve matter intake, triage and management, as part of the GLO’s broader digital transformation efforts. This role, which may support other GLO digital projects and initiatives, will leverage the combined capabilities of project management, global process ownership, service management, and technology implementation expertise to drive significant improvements in the organization's technology landscape, focused on business objectives and sustaining high-quality outcomes. Essential skills include communication, organization, time management, and collaboration. This role focuses on optimizing processes, implementing technology projects, and driving business improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience is required.
  • Strong personal leadership and exceptional social and communication skills to collaborate with senior leaders and various stakeholders, fostering an open and creative environment.
  • Proactive, strategic approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, recognizing needs and developing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and business processes into actionable requirements.
  • Possess certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Agile), ITIL to effectively drive initiatives in a technology-focused ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated leadership of continuous improvement efforts through detailed reviews and monitoring of performance data, encouraging a culture of innovation and accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • JD or Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in business process management or project management are preferred.
  • Lean Six/Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience implementing legal service management platforms (e.g., ONIT, ServiceNow, Litify, Wolters-Kluwer, etc.) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as global business process owner for the GLO’s Work Management system, including responsibility for implementation, project management, change management, and use of data, analytics and insights to optimize the delivery of legal support globally.
  • Shapes vision and roadmap for the Work Management program, focusing on business impact and solution delivery.
  • Drives positive interactions with other project team members and stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Coordinates and motivates project team members to deliver upon project objectives by assessing resource needs, removing barriers to success, and providing constructive feedback when needed.
  • Provides guidance on the strategic rationale behind projects, and manages project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Develops processes to assess, measure, and monitor project outcomes, delivers updates on progress, and improves program procedures.
  • Leads all aspects of and supports process management, providing expertise in enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness across projects and technology implementations.
  • Leads large-scale and global technology platform implementations (e.g., ServiceNow), ensuring project scope, quality, time, and cost are optimized while adhering to the highest ethical standards.
  • Manages engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Works closely with other internal organizations (e.g., GLO, Global Services, Technology, Procurement, Finance and others) and collaborates with external partners, system owners, business partners, and subject matter experts to align technology strategies with business needs.
  • Applies business process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma) to analyze, design, and implement process improvements, including development of playbooks and guidelines.
  • Benchmarks and tracks key performance indicators to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
