About The Position
Business Assessment (BA) is an exciting, highly collaborative, and dynamic team of professionals responsible for generating the investment cases for all pipeline and business development decisions. It is a Center of Excellence within Pfizer's Commercial Strategy & Innovation (CSI) organization valued for proactive thought leadership, epi-forecasting expertise, innovative analytical capabilities, and ability to communicate complex and dynamic information in clear, concise, and creative ways. CSI is the single accountable Commercial voice responsible for pipeline/program strategy and investment cases. The BA Senior Manager role is responsible for supporting and developing commercial assessments and forecasts to support investment case decisions, partnering with CSI leadership and key asset leads, the respective research and clinical development teams, and WWBD to effectively champion internal pipeline and external opportunities aligned with strategy and investment criteria. The Senior Manager will independently support one asset commercial assessment at a time at first (e.g., internal POC study start/DP3 business cases, external BD cases, early pipeline forecasts), ensuring that there is thorough and consistent information to inform critical internal investment decisions and structure appropriate external deal terms. You will be expected to cover disease area opportunities across multiple categories as needed, given the team's flexible model. You will also provide strategic input into trade off decisions that may be required between investment options, ensure consistency in assessment and forecasting approaches across external or internal investment options, and support the presentation of analysis and recommendations to executive governance. You may cover other disease area opportunities, potential M&A evaluations, emerging technology platforms, other innovative projects as needed, given the team's flexible resourcing model.
