Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing in the National Audubon Society's Communications and Marketing division, the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing will play a dynamic role within Audubon's Brand Marketing team. They will be responsible for formulating and developing goals, objectives, and tactics that support the Brand Marketing team's strategic vision through unique programs and campaigns that contribute to Audubon's mission, strategic plan, and overall objectives. The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing will also play a role in conceptual, design, production, relationship building, and project management work encompassing a variety of multi-channel marketing strategies. The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing will be charged with training, monitoring, and enforcing brand usage guidelines both within the internal Audubon network and among external partners. They will work to create a positive brand experience through brand activation platforms, audience engagement, new business and partner acquisition, and business / partner / member retention, all the while protecting and growing Audubon's brand equity to improve visibility, reach, and relevance, enhance Audubon's brand image and identity, and generate revenue. This role is hybrid out of our New York, NY office.

  • Manages Audubon's Brand Marketing efforts to enhance brand image, increase visibility, reach, and relevance, and drive revenue.
  • Conceptualizes, plans, and executes multi-channel campaigns which include integration of email, online, retail, social, public relations, events, advertising, merchandising, and other unique activations.
  • Embraces Audubon's commitment to EDIB by tangibly integrating EDIB into all key areas of their work.
  • Ensures proper and consistent embodiment of the Audubon brand's identity and reach to audiences.
  • Develops and implements creative briefs and marketing calendars, working across many Audubon business units and external brand partners.
  • Aggregates key campaign metrics and compares against KPIs such as impressions, lead gen, engagement, conversion, and revenue.
  • Regularly conducts, synthesizes, and reports on brand, industry, and market research.
  • Delivers high-touch relationship management with external partners and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Develops and manages brand related content and designs in external marketing programs.
  • Project manages events and activations including logistics, production, promotion and post-program reporting.
  • Creates and delivers pitch documents and presentations to drive new business development.
  • Manages new business development, including new brand partners, brand extensions, product launches, and retailer expansion.
  • Manages all aspects of licensee onboarding and renewals.
  • Advises Audubon entities including state offices, centers, and chapters on market driven, strategic partnership efforts.
  • Plays a leadership role in team workflow and process innovation.
  • Maintains and fosters culture of safety.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a brand marketing or brand partnerships type role.
  • Passion for intersectional / interdisciplinary environmentalism and social justice issues, birds, wildlife, nature, and storytelling.
  • Demonstrated experience in elevating voices, ideas, needs, and concerns of communities of color and other people historically marginalized in the U.S.
  • Commitment to Audubon's role as an evidence-based conservation organization.
  • Proven experience developing and executing a high-level brand marketing strategy.
  • Vast experience applying and designing social platform experiences and offline branding strategies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Experience using Canva and project management tools such as Asana and Basecamp preferred.
  • Strong writing skills including the ability to harness style, tone, and voice to reach target audiences.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to distill various research and analyses into clear, accessible presentations and reports.
  • Fluency in reading and writing Spanish is a plus.
