About The Position

Salt & Straw is looking for a strategic storyteller to lead how our brand shows up in the world. As our Senior Manager, Brand Communications, you’ll shape and evolve the voice of Salt & Straw across social platforms, storytelling channels, and cultural moments. From flavor launches and shop openings to creator partnerships and community engagement, you’ll define how we tell our story — and ensure it resonates consistently and meaningfully with our audience. This role is ideal for someone who pairs strong creative instincts with strategic ownership — someone who sees storytelling not just as content, but as a system that builds connection, relevance, and long-term brand equity.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of experience in brand communications, content strategy, or social leadership roles
  • Proven experience owning or shaping brand voice and storytelling strategy
  • Experience leading organic social strategy beyond content execution
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one team member
  • Strong storytelling instincts and editorial judgment
  • Deep understanding of cultural trends and audience behavior
  • Ability to operate strategically while staying hands-on in execution
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve Salt & Straw’s brand voice, narrative, and storytelling strategy across all channels
  • Own and guide our organic social ecosystem, including platform roles, content direction, and performance insights
  • Translate product launches, campaigns, and partnerships into cohesive, compelling storytelling across touchpoints
  • Lead influencer and creator partnerships to expand brand reach and cultural relevance
  • Provide editorial oversight for campaigns, launches, and high-visibility communications
  • Partner with marketing, retail, product, and PR teams to ensure aligned and impactful storytelling
  • Establish systems and workflows that make storytelling consistent, scalable, and high-quality
  • Monitor performance, audience sentiment, and cultural trends to continuously refine strategy
  • Lead and develop a Social Content Producer, providing clear direction, feedback, and growth support
