About The Position

The purpose of this position is to support the mission and strategic goals of Dallas College by providing strategic leadership for Dallas College’s Bloomberg initiative, which equips students and faculty with access to world-class financial data and analytics. This role oversees the development, promotion, and integration of Bloomberg resources across credit and continuing education programs, advancing financial literacy, workforce readiness, and alignment with industry standards. This role plays a vital part in advancing the college’s commitment to transforming lives and communities through higher education by increasing faculty awareness for the program, expanding student participation, and integrating Bloomberg and related industry-based certifications to enhance both student marketability and state performance-based funding. This position also strengthens partnerships with employers and industry organizations to align programming with workforce needs and emerging financial technologies.

Requirements

  • Understanding of financial markets, data analytics, and their application in education and industry.
  • Ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse audiences, including students, faculty, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to market programs and grow engagement among students and faculty.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Commitment to student success and providing exceptional service to students, faculty, and partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in business, finance, education, or a related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of professional experience in program management, financial services, education, or business (financial services preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience working with students, faculty, or community stakeholders in a higher education or training environment.
  • Current and valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven leadership experience in developing and managing strategic academic or professional programs.

  • Skill in building partnerships across academic, business, and community sectors.
  • 2–3 years of experience in the securities industry.
  • Series 7 General Securities Representative license
  • Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) or other Bloomberg certification. The BMC certification will be required to be completed within the first 90 days on the job.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of Dallas College’s Bloomberg Program, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and workforce priorities.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to increase faculty engagement with Bloomberg resources and curriculum integration.
  • Expand student access to industry-based credentials such as Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) and related financial certifications.
  • Partner with industry leaders to align program outcomes with current financial and investment practices.
  • Collaborate with faculty, deans, and workforce teams to incorporate Bloomberg analytics and tools into business and finance courses.
  • Design and promote experiential learning opportunities, including student investment challenges, guest lectures, and co-curricular programs.
  • Oversee program operations, assessment, and reporting of student engagement, certifications, and impact on workforce readiness.
  • Supervise and train staff and student assistants supporting Bloomberg Program activities
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Bloomberg representatives and external advisory council members.
  • Complete minimum required Dallas College professional development training of 19 hours per year.
  • Complete additional 16 hours of leadership development required for all people leaders.
  • Exercise full discretion and decision-making authority in the recruitment, selection, hiring, mentoring, coaching, development & termination of staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, budgetary constraints, and workforce planning strategies.
  • Drive high performance by administering the performance management process timely, setting clear expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing initiatives that enhance employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
