We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Manager of Bioinformatics Software to lead our software and analytics team. This role is pivotal in developing software solutions that interact with complex biological data, supporting R&D initiatives, and delivering advanced analytics for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical programming, software development, and data analytics, with proven leadership experience.

Requirements

  • BS in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field + 15 years, or MS + 13 years, or PhD + 9 years
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and software development.
  • Solid understanding of biostatistics principles and their application to biological datasets.
  • Experience in building and deploying software stacks for data analytics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and client-facing interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with R and Shiny for interactive data visualization.
  • Proven track record of partnering with external clients and KOLs.
  • Background in omics data analysis or similar biological domains.

Responsibilities

  • Lead biostatistics and analytics efforts to support R&D projects and external collaborations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software stacks for biological data analysis.
  • Provide statistical expertise and advanced analytics services to internal teams and external clients.
  • Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and strategic partners to deliver high-quality insights.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 2–4 software engineers and data scientists.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in data integrity and reproducibility.
  • Drive innovation in computational methods and tools for biological data analysis.
