About The Position

Suffolk is seeking a Planning (Scheduling) Analytics Manager who will play a pivotal role in transforming project scheduling through the integration of advanced technologies, particularly AI. This position requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in CPM scheduling, construction planning, data analytics, and P6 administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of over 100 projects, predicting schedule risks, and implementing best practices to ensure compliance with Suffolk's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The role involves collaborating with various departments, including planning, operations excellence, data analytics, and IT, to support and implement high-quality, data-driven processes and tools. The Planning Analytics Manager will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by creating optimal processes and tools using historical data and planning trends. The responsibilities of the Planning Analytics Manager encompass three primary goals: overseeing a portfolio of projects and predicting schedule risks, implementing scheduling best practices, and advancing technology and data by implementing cutting-edge tools to improve scheduling processes. The role also includes managing a small team of Planning Analysts, consolidating monthly schedule status reports, conducting internal draft baseline reviews for large projects, and analyzing all projects in the portfolio using various metrics and tools to predict schedule risks throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the manager will conduct deep dive schedule analyses on at-risk projects and present findings to regional leadership and corporate executives. The position also requires managing P6 administration for over one hundred users and training them on advanced P6 techniques. In terms of data analytics, the Planning Analytics Manager will enhance tech tools and planning dashboards, utilize historical data and predictive analytics to improve project planning accuracy, and drive the integration of AI technologies into scheduling practices. The role involves facilitating the integration of scheduling systems with advanced cost estimating platforms and championing innovative scheduling techniques that push the boundaries of traditional project management.
