We're searching for a highly-motivated professional with exceptional financial and business acumen, proven ability to partner cross-functionally, and demonstrated success supporting complex strategic initiatives. The Strategic Finance team is a fast-paced, high-impact team that manages Aurora's near- and long range financial plans, setting company and product-level goals for the organization. We partner with a diverse set of stakeholders to build our business and execute on our strategy. We're looking for a highly driven finance professional who can dive into the details across Aurora's autonomy hardware, manufacturing, and supply chain organizations, improving operational transparency, business decisions, and outcomes. Exceptional candidates will be able to manage day-to-day operational execution while also driving stakeholders towards higher-level strategic outcomes. For the right candidate, this role can be at either the manager or senior manager level, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, business planning, management reporting, and business analytics activities for the Hardware and Supply Chain functions, adapting these as the business grows and changes
  • Quickly become a trusted Finance Business Partner to Aurora's Hardware, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain departments, helping to enhance financial discipline and accountability
  • Contribute to the company's consolidated forecasting and expense planning workstreams, collaborating cross-functionally across Aurora to help create insightful metrics & reporting packages
  • Expertly manage complex financial data spanning our autonomy Hardware, Procurement, and Supply Chain functions
  • Drive strategic initiatives, such as multi-year autonomy hardware development and vehicle manufacturing operations, by working cross-functionally with stakeholders, providing rigorous analysis, and sound recommendations
  • Prepare regular financial reporting tailored to the needs of various stakeholders providing facts and insightful analysis
  • Develop financial models and conduct deep, data-driven analyses to frame and inform key strategic decisions; drive buy-in on key decisions and track performance to expectations
  • Recommend strategies to optimize the deployment of capital and resources to efficiently meet or exceed targets
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and recommendations to Senior Leadership
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in Finance roles at large and/or fast growing companies
  • Significant experience in manufacturing, hardware, automotive, aerospace, heavy industrial or other similar industries
  • Degree in Finance or related quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Math, or Statistics. Engineering degrees also considered
  • Familiar with advanced Financial tools and systems (e.g. Pigment, NetSuite, Coupa, Plex, Oracle, SAP)
  • Proactive, self-motivated professional with an exceptional analytical skillset and a track record successfully building complex financial models from the ground up
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to an executive audience in a succinct, clear manner
  • CPA (or international equivalent), CFA or MBA are preferred but not required
  • Expert-level GSuite skills, particularly Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides
  • Pigment, Plex and/or Coupa experience is a plus
