Join Walmart’s Transportation Engineering team and help architect the future of one of the largest private fleets in North America. As part of Supply Chain Engineering, our team leads the transformation of Walmart’s transportation network through zero-emissions technology, autonomous solutions, advanced infrastructure, yard modernization, and intelligent fleet integration. This role will primarily focus on advancing zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) strategy and deployment as we work toward our commitment to achieve zero emissions by 2040, while collaborating across autonomous and advanced fleet initiatives. You’ll research emerging technologies, design scalable infrastructure solutions, lead pilots, and operationalize next-generation transportation systems across our national fleet. About the Team Walmart Transportation Engineering sits at the intersection of sustainability, automation, infrastructure, and large-scale operations. We design and deploy the next generation of fleet technologies — from electric yard trucks and Class 8 tractors to charging infrastructure, shore power systems, and autonomous vehicle enablement. Our team partners closely with Transportation Operations, Energy, Construction, Product, and external technology providers to integrate innovation into live distribution center environments. We move technologies from concept to pilot to scaled deployment — ensuring solutions are operationally sound, financially viable, and built to support the customer promise. We are a small, high-impact team responsible for shaping the long-term strategy of Walmart’s transportation ecosystem. This onsite position is based at our Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas.
