About The Position

Corcept is leading the way in the research and development of cortisol modulators, molecules that regulate cortisol activity at the glucocorticoid receptor (GR). To date, we have discovered more than 1,000 selective proprietary cortisol modulators. In 2012, we received FDA approval of Korlym® (mifepristone), the first approved treatment for hypercortisolism (Cushing's syndrome). Today, our team and collaborators continue to unlock the possibilities of cortisol modulation as a way to treat serious diseases. With more than 30 ongoing studies across a wide range of disease areas, including endocrinology, oncology, metabolism, and neurology, we remain dedicated to advancing the possibilities of cortisol modulation. We are looking for a highly analytical and results-oriented Senior Manager or Associate Director, Data Engineering and Analytics to join our dynamic Endocrinology division. This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, optimize reporting and insights generation, and manage complex data systems that directly influence the future of our business. As a key member of our team, you will be at the forefront of shaping business strategies with actionable insights, refining reporting operations, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI and advanced analytics.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of SQL, manipulating, and analyzing large, high-dimensional datasets, including structured and unstructured data
  • Proficiency with cloud database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Databricks)
  • Proficiency in Excel, including building and managing complex models
  • Strong understanding of database management, ETL processes, and large-scale data flows
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into cohesive ideas and actionable solutions
  • Expertise in healthcare data, including patient, payer, and CRM data, and familiarity with statistical methodologies (e.g., regressions, correlations)
  • Strong understanding of reporting/dashboarding solution platforms (e.g. QuickBase, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Fluency in MS Office, with an ability to make impactful presentations and reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to senior leadership and diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage relationships with external vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and objectives with a detail-oriented approach

Nice To Haves

  • B.A. / B.S. required; graduate degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years in analytics, data science, sales operations, or management consulting roles
  • Experience in the healthcare sector (pharmaceutical/biotech) required
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouse tool required (Snowflake, Databricks, RDS, Red Shift)
  • Experience with reporting/dashboarding systems (e.g., Quickbase, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data (e.g., specialty pharmacy, hub) and basic understanding of claims data and managed care data is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data warehouse and reporting deliverables, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee and make hands on updates in the ENDO data warehouse in Snowflake to enable updates and enhancements, working with support vendors
  • Oversee the reporting platform to enhance market intelligence, field efficiency, and reporting accuracy
  • Collect requirements from dashboard end users and coordinate and implement updates in the data warehouse and dashboard reporting platform hosted by Sigma Computing
  • Manage vendors supporting the Data Warehouse operations and Master Data Management (MDM) solution
  • Oversee data flows, including ETL processes, to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability across systems
  • Develop and maintain documentation processes and serve as the DW SME for the ENDO Market Planning and Operations team
  • Develop and interface with new AI tools to drive innovative solutions and enhance analytics capabilities
  • Generate actionable, data-driven insights to support both strategic and tactical decision-making, including the development of clear, concise recommendations for senior leadership
  • Design and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and reports, including field-facing updates and specialty pharmacy metrics, to monitor and improve commercial performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Sales, Marketing, Patient Advocacy, Finance, Training, and Medical Affairs to deliver cohesive, data-driven solutions that address business challenges

Benefits

  • The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $188,000 - $222,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
