Requirements

  • Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study plus eight (8) years of related experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and six (6) years of related experience.
  • Work Experience. Five (5) years of experience must include: JavaScript; Cloud services; Relational databases; Elasticsearch; Redis; DynamoDB; Aurora; Kinesis; SQS; Node js; Programming languages such as GO, java, c#, ruby, or python; Backend workflows and ETL systems; Kafka; Building Human Capital Management, Business Process Management or Enterprise resource management tools; Web Standards, Web Services; TypeScript; React JS; AWS; SOA; OOAD; OOP; Microservices architecture and cloud computing; Functional Programming, developing scalable RESTful/SOAP web services (JSON/XML) with MySQL database; Kubernetes; Envoy; HELM; Ambassador; CI/CD pipelines; Agile software development methodologies; Automation testing in BDD or TDD methodologies; and Coordinating various technical groups for dependency and roadmap alignment.

  • Responsibilities. Responsible for leading a team of software engineers to build and maintain microservices and features within ADP Lyric HCM platform to help our customers save time, stay compliant, and manage their workforce. Facilitate the team's work through coaching and guidance and provide leadership with realistic expectations and deadlines. Review code for quarterly initiatives and oversee ad-hoc requests as they arise. Work with other platform engineering teams to oversee the architecture and build of next generation at Lyric that are clear to read, highly performant, robust and easy to debug and monitor. Own feature deliverables end-to-end, spec out software solutions and deliver independently. Oversee the collaboration with the other engineering and product teams to provide guidance and support. Participate in functional, technical, and code reviews. Participate in relevant aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, architecture, testing, and reviews. Develop and review software requirements, create design documents, help engineers to deliver results.
