About The Position

Responsible for managing and executing the omni allocation and assortment strategy. This position is responsible for effectively leading the Allocations team in analyzing and identifying business opportunities and risks while partnering with planning, merchandising and stores teams to propose solutions based on this analysis to achieve financial goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of allocation, assortment, or merchandise planning experience
2-6-year management experience
Analytical experience, understanding of retail math, problem solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
Highly motivated and results oriented
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with databases
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time

Retail store experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Develop the allocation team; provide training and career development, ensuring departmental plans meet financial objectives.
Manage and lead the allocation team to drive and implement allocation and replenishment strategies and assortment plans, including regional and seasonal opportunities.
Maintain proper inventory levels by location to support sales, margin and turn goals. Work to increase inventory productivity through analysis and collaboration with planning and merchant partners.
Work with Distribution Center and other members of the Supply Chain team to resolve issues relating to product flow and backstock.
Ensure new/relocation/remodel/closing stores open/close with the correct assortment and appropriate inventory levels and ensure levels are maintained and optimized post grand opening based on performance.
Monitors store grades, ranks and correlations and drive localization strategy.
Analyze product mix and acquire feedback from store and ecommerce teams in order to maximize merchandise assortment possibilities.
Often responsible for coordination and collaboration with other departments or external resources to drive execution or resolve issues.
Partner with IT team to create better and more efficient reporting based on the needs of the allocation teams.
