About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, you will lead a team in the design and management of independent agent contractor compensation programs that competitively reward performance while being legally compliant, risk balanced, cost-effective, and in consideration of the achievement of our business units and organizational goals. You will work with internal business partners to understand compensation challenges and develop compensation program strategies and data analysis needs. You will also provide guidance and direction to the analysis of pay program data, compensation best practices, and market intelligence information used to assess competitive practices and our organization's competitive position for specific programs.

  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating business implications of data relationships and results of financial models to multiple business partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking and use of appropriate presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading large complex projects related to analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience with sales compensation and sales incentive design.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of field compensation program metrics and the compensation dashboard to bring attention to program successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the performance measurement and assessment of the effectiveness of independent agent contractor compensation, incentive opportunities, and finance plans.
  • Develop and review recommendations for agent sales plan changes.
  • Monitor trends in compensation and identify our organization's position compared to other employers.
  • Oversee development and execution of program administration for independent agent contractor compensation, incentive, and finance programs and manage resolution of commission and incentive issues.
  • Manage the development of program business rules and the inclusion of business rules and workflows in systems used to support compensation processes.
  • Manage the design of independent agent contractor compensation programs.
  • Evaluate current programs against changing work environments and priorities and develop field compensation program strategies to address changing organization needs.
  • Ensure agent pay and pay-related programs comply with statutory guidelines and state insurance departments.
  • Keep up to date with market trends related to compensation issues and updates in legislative or regulatory environments.
  • Recommend design changes needed to better align programs with regulatory environment.
  • Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion.
  • Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
  • Lead with influence and expertise and contribute to division or department leadership team.
  • Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and policies.
  • Complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.
