About The Position

Position Summary... What you'll do... Senior Manager – Decision Sciences Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Manager – Advanced Analytics (Individual Contributor) to partner with the Sparky product team and drive data-informed decision-making at scale. This role sits at the intersection of product, data science, and business strategy, and is responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights that shape the Sparky product roadmap and customer experience. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with business acumen, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is highly effective at influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation platforms
  • Solid understanding of causal inference techniques
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and customer-level data
  • Proven ability to translate data into strategic insights and business recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, hypothesis-driven approach
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce metrics and product analytics
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence decision-making across cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in high-velocity environments with a bias for action and speed
  • High ownership and accountability as an individual contributor
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt new technologies and tools
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex situations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 1 year's supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic input into the Sparky product roadmap by identifying opportunities through data analysis, experimentation, and customer insights
  • Develop deep understanding of user behavior and product performance to inform prioritization and feature development
  • Build and maintain frameworks for evaluating product success and impact
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate product features and initiatives
  • Apply causal inference methodologies to measure true impact beyond correlation
  • Build robust experimentation and measurement systems
  • Build customer-level insights to understand segmentation, behavior, and lifetime value drivers
  • Identify key drivers of growth, engagement, and conversion
  • Translate data into clear narratives that inform business and product decisions
  • Define and advise on the right KPIs for new product initiatives and features
  • Establish measurement frameworks to track performance and success metrics
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting
  • Own and deliver executive-level reporting on product performance, experiments, and key initiatives
  • Synthesize complex analyses into concise, actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Drive data storytelling to influence strategic decisions
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams to align on goals and execution
  • Influence stakeholders across levels without direct authority
  • Act as a thought partner to product leaders and executives
