About The Position

The Ads Infrastructure team at Unity builds and operates the core distributed systems that power one of the largest real time advertising platforms in the world. Our infrastructure underpins every part of Unity Ads, providing the foundation for segmentation, optimization, bidding, and analytics at global scale. As a Senior Manager in Ads Infrastructure, you will lead a team of highly skilled engineers who design, build, and operate the systems that ensure Unity Ads runs reliably and efficiently. You will be responsible for setting direction, driving execution, and growing talent, while partnering with product, data, and machine learning teams to deliver the infrastructure that enables innovation across Unity Ads.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years managing teams building distributed systems
• Proven track record of leading teams operating infrastructure at scale in production
• Technical depth in cloud native systems, ideally Kubernetes and large scale service infrastructure
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to set vision, align stakeholders, and deliver through others
• Excellent communication skills and experience working across cross functional organizations

Nice To Haves

• Experience leading infrastructure teams in online advertising or large scale data driven businesses
• Background in traffic management, load balancing, or distributed caching and storage systems
• Passion for mentoring engineering leaders and building high performing global teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of infrastructure engineers who build and operate large scale distributed systems
• Define and drive the roadmap for Ads Infrastructure in alignment with product and business priorities
• Ensure operational excellence by establishing standards for reliability, observability, on call practices, and incident response
• Partner with technical leaders to guide architectural decisions and long term platform investments
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture that empowers engineers to grow and enables them to deliver their best work
