The Senior Manager, Accounting is a key member of the accounting team, responsible for the timely monthly close of the General Ledger, consolidation and reporting of financial results, and coordination of audits. Additionally, this position oversees the company's accounts payable, T&E, payroll functions, foreign currency, debt reporting, transfer pricing, balance sheet account reconciliations, accounting for GAAP to IFRS differences, debt and hedge accounting, and purchase accounting. This role is also responsible for managing staff in various roles related to those areas, and ensuring Jaggaer's compliance with GAAP in management reporting, GL accounting, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing accounting team.
  • Preferred experience in Software industry, M&A, International accounting, and Tax.
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity, integrity, judgment, and ownership mentality.
  • Preferred systems experience: NetSuite.
  • Motivated self-starter able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within Finance and with other teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Able to multi-task, follow through on details and design solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel.
  • US GAAP proficiency required.
  • Continuously review processes and identify and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Review and categorize below EBITDA expenses for management and debt reporting.
  • Approve and update the US management fee and manage the cash repatriation process.
  • Monitor global compliance with account reconciliations and mentor controllers outside the US on best practices.
  • Research and track differences with US GAAP from local statutory and/or IFRS accounting.
  • Track and reconcile debt, including hedge entries.
  • Book entries from prior purchases that are amortized and assist with new M&A accounting.
  • Apply knowledge of current GAAP to prepare accurate financial statements.
  • Oversee the Accounting Manager responsible for Accounts Payable and approve exceptions to the normal payment process.
