Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Manager 3, Electrical/ Electronic Components. This position is for Program Leadership of the Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical and Electro-Optical (EEEE) Team and is part of the Sentinel Parts, Materials & Processes (PM&P) Engineering organization and is located in one of the following locations: Roy, UT; Manhattan Beach, CA or; Huntsville, AL. If the selected candidate resides at the Roy, UT location there is minimal travel to other locations; however, if the selected candidate resides in any of the other locations, travel can be required for up to 50% of their time. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The Senior Manager 3 will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 8 years of experience; Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of experience.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management position and experience directing multiple teams.
  • Experience in Parts, Materials and Processes (PM&P) EEEE parts selection type work on large military programs or similar.
  • Proven Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and the ability to assess program issues and develop resolutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-11991 and/or MIL-STD-1568.
  • Experience in Materials EEEE parts selection and qualification for missiles or space environments.
  • IBM Rationale DOORS software experience.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule and performance of large government technical statements of work.
  • Experience with Agile Processes/Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira and Confluence).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills of the English language is desired.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Earned Value Management (EVM) experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).

Responsibilities

  • Define EEEE Team operational strategies by working with program management and technical leaders on special projects.
  • Setting EEEE Team objectives, leading First Line Managers in meeting objectives, reporting on progress.
  • Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities for change and champion changes within PM&P organization.
  • Navigate ambiguity and develop a systemic approach and strategy to address and solve problems.
  • Build relationships and effectively communicate to influence and ensure accountability across a network of stakeholders.
  • Act with a sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Take ownership of tasks and strategic direction.
