About The Position

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will perform mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, machine specific training, etc. This is an expert level position designed for those who have experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance and a desire to grow their career. This position will also be heavily involved with the training of team members and scheduling work.

Requirements

  • 2 years in a similar role with hands on machine maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent), Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar program is not required but strongly preferred.
  • Basic to mid-level mechanical and electrical skills (including electrical maintenance, HVAC, and mechanical repair) with the aptitude to learn advanced skills.
  • You should have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems; analyze information and to make an informed decision based on that information; identify root causes and corrective actions; adhere to all safety regulations and policies; and actively participate in job training opportunities for career development.
  • This position is supervised; however, the successful candidate should have the ability to work independently and with a team while carrying out verbal and written instructions from supervisor.
  • Understand OSHA safety requirements for Industrial Maintenance Operations.
  • Excellent planning, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience as a leader of an industrial maintenance team or a similar role is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and injection molding systems preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Observe machines and devices in operation to identify root cause of issue or preventative measures. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, examining parts to detect imperfections. Make necessary adjustments of functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repair and/or replace defective parts, testing machine/ device to observe performance. Perform tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
  • Set up and operate multiple machining operations and repair parts. Perform carpentry and plumbing tasks. Perform welding tasks.
  • Support and back up other team members as directed. Provide training and collaboration in maintenance processes to other new and existing team members.
  • Proactively respond to maintenance calls and partner with production to remove barriers and deliver exceptional customer service. Accurately record job and work order information in system, confidently maneuvering on an iPad and PC.
  • Assure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards. Provide inputs in CI activities and processes, results, and cost savings. Participate in safety initiatives and support a safety-first culture.
