About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to anchor our 2nd shift operations. This isn't just a "behind the scenes" repair role; you will be the face of the maintenance team during the evening hours in a high-profile commercial office environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong electrical background—think advanced apprentice level—and a "white-glove" approach to customer service. Since you may be the senior technician on duty, we are looking for a decisive problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining a seamless environment for our client.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in facility maintenance, with at least 2+ years specifically in a commercial office environment.
  • 2-4 years of dedicated electrical experience (Apprentice level or equivalent OJT). You should be comfortable diagnosing, repairing and installing general electrical issues
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a building without immediate supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills; experience interacting with corporate tenants or professional clients is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of critical building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC/pneumatic controls, and hydraulic devices.
  • Utilize your experience to diagnose electrical issues, perform minor installs and repairs
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and customer service requests with a professional, helpful demeanor suitable for a corporate office setting.
  • Proactively inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards or malfunctions. You are the "eyes and ears" of the property during your shift.
  • Maintain the "Class A" feel of the property by performing high-quality repairs to finishes, including door hardware, ceiling tiles, and painting.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities
  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as; Fire alarm systems, fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment as assigned
  • Perform general carpentry and snow removal when necessary
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits
  • Proficient with technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.
  • Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours
  • Willing to share on call responsibilities and respond to emergencies as needed.

Benefits

  • Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
  • In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, Cushman and Wakefield provide eligible employees with competitive pay, which may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
