About The Position

The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs as needed. General duties include maintaining and general upkeep such as painting, minor plumbing, simple carpentry, and basic equipment or facility repairs.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, presentation and speaking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of contractual obligations and responsibilities
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related maintenance trade

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Experience in Residential Disability Housing Facilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep, including painting, minor plumbing, electrical, TV & data lines, carpentry, and basic equipment or facility repairs.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation responding to 24-hour emergency facility situations.
  • Complete general residential maintenance repairs, drywall patches, touch-up painting, and room repaints as needed.
  • Open clogged drains, fix leaks, and perform other simple plumbing tasks.
  • Execute simple carpentry tasks such as installing shelving, window blinds, repairing/installing doors, closures, and locks.
  • Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, install alarms, data & cable TV lines, and similar minor electrical tasks.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets in working order; track tool inventory.
  • Complete and update electronic work orders and emails.
