About The Position

Join our company and be part of an innovative team that's First in Food. This position performs process and production maintenance throughout the facility. Multi craft maintenance responsibilities which include but not be limited to equipment breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, preventative/precision maintenance programs and continuous improvements activities i.e. increasing machine reliability and installation of facility capital investments. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. This role is for our Logan View Plant located across the street from our primary facility. This role will be for M-F 6am-2PM.

Requirements

  • AA in related field, operations or applicable technical knowledge or degree/certification from trade school.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field.
  • Ability to communicate oral/written and possess interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distances.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to participate analytical, planning, problem-solving, and small project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize CMMS to support the maintenance function including review, execution and documentation of scheduled/unscheduled work on a daily basis.
  • Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required.
  • Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and repair of all mechanical power transmission equipment.
  • Knowledge of gear boxes, mechanical drives, variable speed applications, and Servo motors.
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration, steam and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices.
  • Diagnose, repair and overhaul pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related systems.
  • Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications.
  • Experienced use of precision tools i.e. dials indicators, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
  • Ability to read/interpret Electrical Schematics is a plus.
  • Skilled in pipe fitting, rigging, and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Skilled in machine shop to fabricate within specific tolerance is a plus.
  • 480v 3 phase knowledge required.
  • Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices a plus.
  • Allen Bradley experiences is a plus.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
