About The Position

This role is responsible for planning and overseeing the execution of cost-effective and timely maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment. Key duties include directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel; collaborating with contractors, vendors, and company engineering teams on equipment modifications and installations; and troubleshooting new or complex technical issues related to equipment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and programs, providing instruction on the proper use of personal protective equipment, and driving ergonomic improvements within the facility. The role also involves maintaining adherence to Process Safety Management Standards and fostering skill development among team members. The position requires management and maintenance of high-pressure boilers, compressed air systems, hot water generation, and HVAC systems. It also includes coordinating team member schedules, managing time and attendance records, conducting monthly safety meetings, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Education beyond high school, including specialized training, vocational school, or college coursework.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to check email, enter data into document templates, and create simple queries.
  • Occasional travel required, approximately 1 to 5 trips per year.
  • Responsible for supervising a team performing similar and related maintenance tasks and activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Tyson Level 8 training in the Maintenance Technician (MT) or Emergency Response Team (ERT) program is preferred.
  • Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia, Mechanical Refrigeration, and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance and management is highly desirable.
