About The Position

We are looking for an Senior Maintenance Planner to join our Catalyst team in McIntyre, GA. BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services. In this role, you will determine the manpower required for construction, major maintenance, and routine maintenance projects to properly utilize resources in assigned areas. You will also plan major plant turnarounds alongside Production/Maintenance leadership and promote planning and scheduling techniques for better understanding among Maintenance and Production teams.

Requirements

  • Have a 2 or 4 year technical degree in a relevant program.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Possess computer skills including email, SAP, MS Office Excel and Word.
  • Have proven experience procuring and expediting materials and resources.
  • Hold internal and external interaction, functional guidance, and leadership experience.
  • Have the ability to deal effectively with the unknown and unexpected.
  • Possess excellent organizational and work management skills.
  • Have keen attention to detail and a high degree of quality orientation.
  • Have strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a union-represented workforce.
  • Calciner maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance work order system by planning, scheduling, applying standards, and coordinating services for planned maintenance and construction jobs.
  • Minimize costs and production downtime through the proper use of craft manpower, materials, and services.
  • Plan and estimate work orders for maintenance work.
  • Compile and update information on work orders, work history, costs, and actual work performed using SAP and MS Office.
  • Coordinate maintenance and production schedules and ensure prompt and timely service for all customers.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the execution of maintenance plans.
  • Review backlogs, manage unplanned work orders, generate job plans, and create job packages for field execution.
  • Utilize SAP status codes for proper scheduling.
  • Evaluate the need for spare parts, create purchase requisitions, and monitor KPIs.
