About The Position

As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic at our corporate headquarters, you'll be the technical expert ensuring our building's critical mechanical systems operate at peak performance. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient work environment for our team. You'll leverage your extensive mechanical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs across HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Your work directly impacts our facility's operational excellence and supports JLL's commitment to delivering world-class property management services.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience as a maintenance mechanic in commercial building environments
  • Demonstrated expertise with HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, and air handlers
  • Advanced proficiency in plumbing systems, repairs, and installations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong technical knowledge of pipefitting, pumps, motors, and mechanical systems
  • Proven ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks effectively

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (or equivalent refrigerant handling certification)
  • Experience maintaining corporate office or commercial headquarters facilities
  • Familiarity with backflow prevention device testing and certification
  • Basic carpentry and general building maintenance skills
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices and scheduling
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with facility management and vendors
  • Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance needs

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handler units, split systems, and related mechanical equipment
  • Perform comprehensive plumbing repairs, installations, and system maintenance throughout the facility
  • Execute pipefitting work, pipe running, pump repairs, and motor maintenance as needed
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical building systems
  • Test and maintain backflow prevention devices to ensure compliance and system integrity
  • Complete carpentry work and general building maintenance tasks to support facility operations
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
