About The Position

Western Colorado's premier healthcare facility, Valley View Hospital, has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer in our Facilities and Maintenance Department. Must have previous Journeyman level experience and skill set in one or more trades, licensed plumber highly preferred! Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred. Must be willing to work rotating weekends, on-call, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification or licensure in one or more trades utilized in maintenance of the facility preferred.
  • Experience and skill set in one or more trades required (e.g., drywall, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Team player and exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Clean driver's license is required. Must be insurable by company insurance carrier.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed plumber highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks in one or more trades such as drywall, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing.
  • Ensure the facility is maintained to high standards of safety and functionality.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Work rotating weekends, on-call, and holidays as required.
