Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience as a machinist or modelmaker 3-5 years required
- Proficient in the use of various machines and tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Responsibilities
- Create precise parts and models using various machines and tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Select the appropriate materials and tools required to complete the job.
- Inspect and test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop new products.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train and mentor junior machinists.
