About The Position

Haemonetics is seeking a Senior Machine Operator (Intra-Plant) to join our team in Clinton, PA. This full-time position is designed for individuals looking for a challenging and rewarding career in a diverse and dynamic work environment. The role involves promoting a safe work environment, facilitating cross-training of employees, and ensuring proper training of new hires. The Senior Machine Operator will also assist in monitoring production, quality, and safety data, while implementing improvements to the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • 1 year of experience in production assembly, required
  • Working experience in the medical device industry or a regulated industry, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe work environment
  • Facilitate cross-training of existing employees to other operations within their responsible lines
  • Retrain employees that illustrate deficiencies in achieving productivity, quality and safety standards
  • Ensure proper training of new employees assigned to their responsible lines
  • Facilitate individual training on new and updated parts, components and procedures with engineers and technicians
  • Assist the Group Leader in monitoring and accurately reporting production, quality and safety data on an hourly basis
  • Assist or perform completion of daily attendance documentation
  • Perform required cycle counts at required frequencies
  • Develop and implement improvements to the manufacturing process that have a direct positive effect on production, quality and safety
  • Ensure all products are produced in compliance with appropriate regulations, including FDA, TUV, and ISO
  • Perform all operations in accordance with Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Instructions, Drawings, Standard Operating Procedures, and other applicable documents
  • Provide a safe, clean and organized work environment for all personnel
  • Lead the room in the absence of the Group Leader
  • Learn from Mechanics about machine issues and faults to assist in resolution
  • Assist the Group Leader in conducting Daily Huddle Meetings and Shift Transition Meetings
  • Ensure all raw materials and parts necessary for constant production are available at the start of the shift
  • Ensure correct instruction documentation is available and utilized by operators
  • Verify all testing equipment are in correct working order
  • Set personal goals to be reviewed with Supervisor on a semi-annual basis
