We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in ML application development to join our newly formed team working on Generative AI and Foundation Models development for ABAP in Newport Beach. This dynamic team is at the forefront of SAP's cloud transformation efforts, leveraging large language models to accelerate our customers' data and code transformation. The team collaborates closely with established teams in Europe and India, various SAP stakeholders, UC Irvine, and early adopter customers. You will play a key role working with data scientists of ABAP Foundation Model teams globally to build ML based solutions for our customers.

  • Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries for LLM development and deployment
  • Develop data pipelines for preprocessing, training, and evaluating language models
  • Build, optimize and maintain software solutions for automation and data management for training AI/ML models especially large language models (LLMs)
  • Work closely with data scientists and stakeholders and manage cross-functional relationships to align infrastructure among teams
  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development for ML applications
  • Expertise in LLM model training and data pipeline construction, optimization, and automation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience data processing automation for LLM training and evaluation
