About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Sponsored Results Team, one of our fastest-growing product areas! In this role, you will use your machine learning and engineering expertise to develop systems that enhance our products and facilitate improved healthcare experiences for patients and providers. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in building and optimizing new algorithms for our core Sponsored Results product. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Analytics, and Sales, to ensure that our algorithms are fine-tuned for maximum client value and revenue growth. Your work will help drive performance improvements and expand Zocdoc’s share of marketing spend in a way that improves patient outcomes and experiences. Requirements

4+ years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining production ML systems at scale
Demonstrated ability to design ML platforms or shared infrastructure
Strong background in building scalable algorithms and systems, with a focus on performance and reliability
Experience working with predictive models or auction mechanics, especially in the context of digital marketing or ads
Proven ability to mentor engineers, helping them grow while delivering solutions aligned with revenue and business outcomes
Good understanding of ML concepts and techniques. Experience with training models for production release is a big plus.
Experience with languages and tools like Python, Scala, and machine learning frameworks
Driven, curious, and continuously seeking to improve products or learn new skills and technologies
5+ years of experience in professional software development

Nice To Haves

A Computer Science or related degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

Designing and building scalable ML infrastructure, including feature stores, data pipelines, and experiment tracking, to streamline the end-to-end model lifecycle and accelerate ML Engineer development
Contributing to the development and optimization of Sponsored Results auction algorithms, focusing on improving patient and provider experiences, predictive accuracy, and efficient bid pricing
Closely partnering with Sales and Product teams as a fellow business owner to ensure the SPO platform is performing optimally for clients
Brainstorming with an amazing team and rapidly shipping new features and scalable code to millions of users
Making a meaningful impact as you own and release features that will impact patients, doctors, and team members alike
Mentoring peers, with the notion that helping others means learning and growing yourself
