In product/systems improvement projects, the role utilizes machine learning and statistical modeling techniques, including decision trees, logistic regression, and Bayesian analysis, to develop and evaluate algorithms aimed at improving product/system performance, quality, data management, and accuracy. The candidate will work in both theoretical development environments and specific product design, implementation, and improvement environments, translating algorithms and technical specifications into code. Responsibilities include programming, implementing efficiencies, performing testing and debugging, and completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. The role also involves applying deep learning technologies, leading technical teams, driving code reviews, and adapting machine learning to various applications such as virtual reality and robotics. The candidate will interface with external vendors and partners to integrate their technology into the team's autonomy stack, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to laws and regulations.

  • Ability to follow and apply advanced machine learning knowledge and adapt standard techniques.
  • Strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Demonstrated history of applying novel technical solutions in fast evolving product areas.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
