Develop and improve artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning-driven (ML) products. Envision, research, and implement high-impact ML / AI solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Manage the creation and maintenance of Python-based production services, serving over 50 million users monthly. Continuously update and optimize ML/AI models to ensure platform innovation and leadership in educational technology. Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team. Build and validate search, personalization, recommendation, and/or newsfeed algorithms to develop and improve customer-facing products. Apply and leverage various search and recommendation algorithms to optimize systems to adopt real-world advantages and drawbacks, including student learning experiences, and measuring their success. Utilize ML approaches and techniques to review and analyze data in order to manage ambiguity and complex technical problems effectively. Utilize Python, ML libraries, and deep learning libraries (such as scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, scipy, TensorFlow, SQL, hive, spark, etc.) to access and analyze data to improve ML/AI components and products. Write clean, understandable, well-documented code, and build reproducible models, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Review and identify biases in data and develop appropriate solutions to mitigate them. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate effectively at all levels, and explain sophisticated technical solutions to non-experts, while remaining receptive to diverse voices and perspectives. Maintain clarity, credibility, and forward-thinking approach in all aspects of assigned work. Telecommuting may be permitted.
