Oversees the day-to-day operations of all essential residential requirements in group homes for consumers with a diagnosis of mental illness. This includes 24 hours on-call availability. Assist the consumers in acquiring and using the skills and supports they need to be successful and satisfied in their living, social, vocational, and educational environments. Maintains group homes in compliance with budget standards. Completes and submits documentation as required by Valley, Medicaid, OSHA, and other licensing agencies. Employee ensures that documentation (such as progress notes, data sheets, SAL’s, task analysis forms, behavior tracking forms, etc.) are completed accurately and timely and will reflect services the client(s) has received as appropriate. Timely submission of group home hours worked as well as timely approval of electronic timesheets for LPNs and RAs. This includes submission of any supplemental earnings by both electronic submission and written documentation. Approves time off for all assigned employees and ensures that this information is entered onto the employee’s timecard. Assists with the hiring process for LPNs, Ras, and CNAs. Supervise Residential Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants through appropriate training, evaluation, orientation, assignment, and delegation of duties. Monitors, maintains, and uses all equipment and supplies appropriately. Request and ensures amble supplies to meet client needs. Assure that the safety, health, and wellbeing of consumers are always maintained on or off site. Assures that treatment/behavior plans are implemented in compliance with Valley’s and state guidelines as well as physician’s orders. Instructs employees to report the condition or change in condition of a person’s served signs and symptoms of deviation from normal health status. Implements care plans and provides nursing care to clients that is compliant with Valley’s and state guidelines, as well as physician’s orders. Perform range of motion and reality orientation with clients as directed. Serves as a role model and/or assist the Registered Nurse in orienting a newly employed or new graduate LPN. Reports the condition or change in condition of a client’s signs and symptoms of deviation from normal health status. Ensure the accurate documentation of information into the client’s record. Participate in client care planning. Work with other professionals and the treatment team to ensure services provided are in the best interest of the client. Participates in treatment planning activities to ensure that ongoing medical services are appropriate and are provided in coordination with other program services. Other duties as assigned.
