About The Position

The Senior Logistics Systems Manager at Legrand is responsible for overseeing the strategy, planning, administration, and operational support of logistics and warehouse systems and technologies. This role involves defining standards, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and security of warehouse operations across North America. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders to implement improvements and ensure the integrity of software and database systems used in logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer or software engineering, logistics, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the information technology field, particularly in warehouse management systems.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management systems and strong technical knowledge of related hardware and software.
  • Exceptional project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions across functional areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Scrum or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Logistics experience is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with warehouse leaders, associates, IT, and business leaders.
  • Create and maintain system and technology strategies for upgrades and alignment to warehouse projects.
  • Develop business cases for proposed improvements and support the annual department investment budget.
  • Recommend projects for approval to logistics management and evaluate productivity tools and processes.
  • Advise on options, risks, resource requirements, and impacts on business processes.
  • Review and prioritize IT support tickets and support requests.
  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures across logistics.
  • Review, recommend, and implement additional warehouse systems and technology applications.
  • Provide input and oversight for data governance in logistics.
  • Support logistics projects with key analytics to drive performance.
  • Manage WMS staffing and site superusers, ensuring on-call coverage for warehouse systems.
  • Ensure data/media recoverability through scheduled backups and database archives.
  • Partner with the IT Infrastructure team to drive service excellence in a global environment.
  • Develop disaster recovery scenarios and contingency plans for WMS operations.
