The Opportunity We’re hiring a Logistics Analyst within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division, headquartered in Lake Forest, IL. As a Logistics Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in supporting global logistics operations, driving synergies across Rapid Diagnostics business units and Abbott divisions. Your work will optimize customer service and freight rates, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement savings opportunities, streamline processes, and deliver value-driven solutions that enhance operational performance. What You’ll Work On As a Senior Logistics Planner, you’ll be a key driver of operational excellence and strategic logistics initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3–4 years in logistics or supply chain operations.
  • Hands-on experience in transportation and freight forwarding.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
  • Proven ability to use data analytics for recommendations.
  • Strategic sourcing experience delivering measurable cost savings or efficiency improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Global logistics experience in healthcare or diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and international trade compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering Customer Excellence- Meet and exceed customer expectations through KPIs and proactive problem-solving.
  • Strategic Logistics Development- Shape post-COVID cross-business logistics strategies with a focus on synergy and efficiency.
  • Transportation Execution & Contingency Planning- Manage global freight forwarding and build contingency plans to mitigate unexpected delays.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Partnerships- Develop strategic supplier relationships and collaborate with internal leaders to resolve operational issues and deliver results during urgent demands.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - Use analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities, present recommendations, and align stakeholders on execution.
  • Savings & Efficiency Initiatives - Lead projects that improve customer service, expand provider capabilities, and achieve annual logistics savings goals.
  • Category Expertise & Leadership - Become the subject matter expert for RDX Americas logistics, building a strong network across upstream, downstream, and peer stakeholders to ensure global strategy alignment.
