About The Position

Tactica Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Logistician for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer (DCSENG) for facilities, engineering and sustainment, and environmental planning and compliance. This Senior Logistician will support inventory efforts across cross functional departments in Huntsville. Duties and Responsibilities Provides logistics support performing a full range of property accountability functions in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Receives, inventories, issues, turns in, and stores property and supplies. Supports in maintaining 100 percent accountability of all property book item. Maintains a software and hardware database that contains, as a minimum, the make, model number or version number, serial number, purchase date, contract number (if applicable), purchase price, renewal date, license data, warranty data, and period of performance for all assets. Responsible for managing and supervising logistic personnel in CONUS and OCONUS. Adds, deletes, or changes assets in the CMDB and the logistics database as reflected on issue, turn-in, and Administrative Adjustment Reports (AARs). Prepares, checks for accuracy, and submits for approval, acquisition packets and Unfinanced Requirements (UFRs). Assists in performing property accountability functions. Reviews all transactions on missing items, according to AR 7355, Policies and Procedures for Property Accountability, for discrepancies in property accountability. Conducts physical inventories of all assets. Uses the Change Management process to track installs, moves, additions, and changes to the asset inventory. Identifies such cost-effective purchase practices as enterprise agreements, volume purchasing, and leasing. Prepares, processes and submits shipping document IAW TTPs and SOPs. Assists in correcting findings identified during the semi-annual inspection. Conducts pre-inspections prior to the CSDP inspection. Others duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree, similar to Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Crediting Combinations of Education and Experience standard.
  • 10+ Years demonstrated/practical experience collaborating and planning with appropriate personnel to coordinate and/or execute operations.
  • Familiar with AR 700-138.
  • Experience planning, managing, and coordinating the total life cycle logistics support for assigned systems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement and quality assurance into logistics activities.
  • Employee must possess and maintain IA computing environment certifications and access levels in accordance with DoD Directives (DoDD) 8140/8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M0002. IA certification and access levels vary depending on the functional category the employee is performing in and are in accordance with USARCC-C PWS Table 2 Information Technology Access and IA Certification Requirements.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Broad understanding of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)
  • Ability to work outside normal work hours at short notice as dictated by workload.
  • Ability to work away from primary work location in excess of normal workday.
  • Ability to travel outside the US.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to interpret and explain company policy concerning MEC safety practices to executives, managers, employees, and clients.
  • Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (word, excel, outlook), inventory databases, and documentation control systems.
  • Valid Driver License.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with NETCOM and US Army Logistical Support processes and procedures including inventory and accountability procedures.
