About The Position
S&K Federal Services is seeking a Senior Logistician to join our team at the U.S. Army Testing Evaluation Command (ATEC) in Aberdeen, Maryland. This full-time position is crucial for supporting various Logistics Support Tasks, including Equipment/Maintenance Management and Property Management support. The Senior Logistician will play a vital role in ensuring that logistics operations are executed efficiently and effectively, adhering to established standards and regulations. In this role, the Senior Logistician will serve and support the Project/Program Manager on contract assignments and objectives. The individual will manage administrative details and maintain daily contact with direct reports to enhance communication and proactively identify and resolve work-related issues. Providing daily direction and guidance to ATEC assigned team members is essential for the execution of duties, ensuring that project/program standards are maintained. The Senior Logistician will also be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new ATEC staff, as well as coaching and counseling employees assigned to support ATEC HQ. Adherence to and enforcement of company, project/program policies and procedures is a critical aspect of this position, along with the protection and control of proprietary documents and processes. The Senior Logistician will provide guidance to the G-4 staff and subordinate organizations on proper Army Logistic controls and procedures in accordance with published Army and ATEC regulations. This includes overseeing and managing equipment and maintenance management functional areas, which encompass data collection, analysis, and reporting of vehicles and equipment. The Senior Logistician will recommend changes to subordinate organization procedures as needed. In terms of property management support, the Senior Logistician will oversee and manage property management activities, including Property Accountability, Shipping/Receiving Operations, Tool Crib Issue/Inventory, Weapons Management, Fuel Management, and Logistics Operations Support for Test Programs in support of ATC. The role requires recommending changes to subordinate organization procedures as necessary to enhance operational efficiency.
