About The Position

The Senior Lodging Manager will oversee the operations and management of the Front Desk, Guest Service, and Night Audit departments. Responsibilities will include delegation of operational duties, performance management, and administering the Manager on Duty responsibilities. Requirements

College degree or 3-5 years Hospitality experience preferred
Computer skills in MS Windows & Excel
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members
Understanding of basic math and general accounting
Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
Must be able to sit or be on your feet for a long period of time
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and consistent attendance is required, as well as, flexibility to weekends, holidays and nights.
Primary shifts would be evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations and responsibilities of the Front of House Lodging departments which includes the Front Desk, Guest Service, and Night Audit Departments
Develop the Lodging Managers in the following duties: Team member interactions with guests, increase positive feedback and reduction of negative comments
Maintain the budget while utilizing labor tracking and operational expense tools
Maintain and drive the RPOR
Foster positive communication with other departments
Develop team member knowledge through training, performance reviews, and development plans
Maintain staffing pars while minimizing turnover within the department
Advise Lodging Managers in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
Implement a "hands on" approach to effectively manage the quality of daily operations
Develop department goals and objectives that are aligned with the organization's Strategic Plan
Ensure compliance with established company policies & procedures
Demonstrate leadership & professional image to Team Members, Vendors & Guests
Review all arrival and departure information with Front Desk to cross-examine each guest
Observe and manage the Front Desk, Guest Services, and Night Audit to follow through on daily tasks
Meet and speak with guests making certain they are enjoying their stay
Handle guest requests and resolve any problems that may arise
Operate the Lodging department successfully
Communicate with each department on all issues that may arise
