Senior Loan Servicer - CRE
About The Position
The Senior Loan Servicer, Commercial Real Estate (CRE) helps manage the loan servicing operations for Apple Bank’s Commercial Real Estate portfolio. This includes tasks such as entering new loans into the loan servicing system (McCracken), processing loan payments according to the loan agreements, and monitoring important loan information to ensure all system entries are accurate and complete. The role also involves supplying information to regulators, auditors (both internal & external), and senior management when requested, and making sure that team members follow all internal loan servicing policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- 5 + years of experience servicing commercial real estate loans.
- Proficient knowledge of various commercial and industrial loan products, such as sovereign guaranteed loans, revolving credit facilities, PDP facilities, term loans, loan participations, and receivable financing.
- Experience with the McCracken loan servicing system.
- Strong analytical abilities are essential.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Demonstrated initiative in following up with clients to address complaints, inquiries, or requests.
- Must exhibit attention to detail and possess robust organizational skills.
- Mandatory training may require occasional travel.
- Visa sponsorship not available.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the processing of daily operations for the Bank’s commercial and industrial loan portfolio, ensuring all deadlines are consistently met.
- Conduct audits of new loans to verify that data recorded in the McCracken loan servicing system aligns with loan documentation.
- Examine rate change reports to confirm receipt of interest rate reset information from loan agents.
- Monitor loan commitments to ensure McCracken database accurately reflects current borrowings and available funds.
- Review system-generated interest adjustments to validate the accuracy of loan-level interest receivables.
- Oversee key general ledger clearing accounts daily.
- Prepare comprehensive management reports, including updates on commitments, loan activity, delinquency rates, and yield for the receivable portfolio.
- Track and report delinquencies daily, notifying management of past due loans.
- Provide requested information promptly to regulators and both internal and external auditors.
- Develop procedures for new operational tasks and revise existing procedures when necessary.
- Test McCracken system upgrades and utilize system reporting features to identify data anomalies.
- Communicate with loan agents to obtain updated information regarding interest rates, payments, and delinquencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
