The role involves receiving walk-in/call-in visitors, explaining and demonstrating the benefits of residing and receiving care at the community, and maintaining occupancy levels through effective sales techniques.

  • Receive walk-in/call-in visitors and use software systems to identify and contact leads.
  • Explain and demonstrate to prospective residents and their families the benefits of residing and receiving care at the community.
  • Communicate sales and contractual information and close contract sales to maintain and improve occupancy levels.
  • Solicit assistance of community staff to promote and explain community services, practices, policies, pricing, and other necessary information.
  • Review software databases to identify and follow-up on leads from all sources.
  • Encourage prospective residents and families to make wait list deposits.
  • Maintain long-term contact with prospects to encourage continued familiarity.
  • Encourage and promote visits and tours of the community.
  • Meet established goals regarding contacts and tours to achieve desired sales goals.
  • Enter updated prospective resident information and status of relationship into the lead management system.
  • Maintain positive relationships with current residents and their families.
  • Identify religious, civic, and social groups to expand referral network.
  • Cultivate leads with current residents through positive interaction.
  • Assist in planning, sponsoring, organizing, and executing special events to attract referrals and prospects.
  • Conduct personal tours of communities for prospective residents and families.
  • Communicate availability of units and status of waiting lists.
  • Prepare standard legal documents required for signature.
  • Request assistance of marketing assistant for logistics of new resident moves.
  • Prepare written reports and communicate status of current success.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in coursework and related experience is required.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in the real estate or health care field.
  • Experience in promotion, public relations, or admissions, including a minimum of two years with a proven sales or promotion track record.
  • Prior experience selling or promoting senior residential and health care services is highly preferred.
  • Reliable car transportation with insurance and a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of competing organizations' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to assist with the development of marketing strategies.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours of work to the needs of potential residents and referral sources.
  • Knowledge of marketing software.
