About The Position

SMX is looking for a highly motivated Senior Linux/Unix Administrator to join our team in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. The Senior Systems Administrator will work as part of our team managing Research, Development, Test & Evaluation environments, ensuring the functionality, security, and efficiency of Unix/Linux-based systems, networks, and software infrastructure. This position will be onsite in Dahlgren, VA.

Requirements

• Clearance Required: Secret
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret
• 6+ years' experience administering Linux/Unix systems and networks
• Experience with Backup and Recovery
• Experience with Software management
• Experience with Security management
• Experience with Software and hardware installation (OS and apps)
• Experience with OS and application performance tuning
• Experience with Troubleshooting
• Experience with Resource allocation
• Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
• Networking protocols
• Network security tools such as firewalls
• Vulnerability management
• IAT III certification such as CISSP, CISM, GSLC, CASP or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Experience working within DoD or Navy programs
• Bachelor's degree
