First American is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to manage over 700 Linux servers. This role requires experience with large-scale enterprise deployments and focuses on ensuring compliance, security, and efficient operation using tools such as Ansible, Rundeck, and ManageEngine. The position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work location.

  • Design, implement, and manage configuration management tools (Rundeck, ManageEngine) for secure and efficient server management.
  • Develop and maintain policies, configurations, and compliance standards for Linux servers.
  • Create and manage server configuration profiles, applications, and updates to ensure a consistent user experience.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to server builds, application deployment, and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive server management strategy.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation related to Rundeck and ManageEngine configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems administration.
  • Strong experience in managing Linux servers using configuration management tools including Ansible, Rundeck, and ManageEngine.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages including Bash, Shell, Python, or similar.
  • Knowledge of security hardening practices using CIS security standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices.
  • Experience creating and managing server bakery images.
  • Experience working in Cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows OS.
  • Experience using artifact/package/binary management tools (Artifactory preferred).
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
