About The Position

The Senior Lighting Account Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers to drive revenue growth and improve margins. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams while supporting lighting project execution from concept through completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, or related field. In lieu of formal education, relevant work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the lighting and/or construction industry
• Strong knowledge of lighting products and applications
• Excellent organizational, communication, and consultative selling skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of creativity and initiative

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and help negotiate strategic relationships with customers and vendors
• Advise the sales team on project requirements, risks, and forecasting insights
• Collaborate with sales and product specialists to execute business development initiatives
• Review engineering and architectural drawings/specifications to ensure alignment with project plans and timelines
• Prepare and oversee quotes for lighting and lamp projects, including design/build and customer-specified solutions
• Manage account activity and project execution, coordinating internal and external resources
• Communicate order details, delivery requirements, and sourcing information across internal teams
• Provide leadership and direction to the lighting team in the absence of the Lighting Supervisor
• Process customer orders, changes, and cancellations accurately and efficiently
• Deliver technical support and guidance to customers
• Address and resolve customer concerns, ensuring timely and effective solutions
• Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve procedures and work instructions
