About The Position

Overview Milliman's Indianapolis Health practice is seeking a Senior Life Sciences Consultant to join a highly successful life sciences consulting team. The ideal candidate is looking to apply their deep subject matter knowledge from their time in industry to help new technologies develop access strategies that address complicated business challenges. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Proactively identify and advance business development opportunities with new and existing clients Proactively identify opportunities to drive business initiatives by eliminating barriers and creating innovative solutions Lead client relationships for a variety of projects for strategic life sciences consulting business initiatives Maintain relationships with business process owners and key stakeholders at the client to identify the project's goals, objectives, critical success factors, and success measures Develop detailed project plans to serve as a critical communication tool for key stakeholder buy-in and to set appropriate expectations Prepare presentations and reports that communicate project status and enhance leadership’s understanding of complex initiatives Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations Lead the planning and execution of all assigned projects efficiently, mentoring and developing the supporting staff resources Communicate difficult and/or sensitive information tactfully when necessary Manage operational aspects of a project and scope, including meeting facilitation and documentation Lead for project reviews and ensure compliance quality assurance procedures Minimize our risk exposure, appropriately raising awareness on at-risk items Qualifications Knowledge of the US healthcare system relating to benefit design and reimbursement. Relevant channels include: Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid Demonstrated ability to interact with senior leadership internally and externally Ability to communicate and present effectively, in both virtual and in-person settings Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products: PowerPoint, Excel, Word Basic knowledge of Gen AI tools, how to utilize AI to enhance productivity, and potential ethical considerations or concerns Required 10+ years in a corporate life sciences or bio tech setting (e.g., life sciences manufacturer) 10+ years developing and executing multiple projects simultaneously Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, life sciences, or a related field Preferred 15+ years in a corporate life sciences or bio tech setting (e.g., life sciences manufacturer) Master’s degree, e.g., Master’s of Business Administration, Master’s of Public Health, or related program of study Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future. The Team The life sciences consulting team is a group of 60+ individuals in the Indianapolis Health practice from varying backgrounds including actuaries, data analysts, pharmacists, and graphic designers. This group works primarily with life sciences companies and consults on their relationship with insurance companies and other stakeholders of the pharmaceutical value chain. Location This role is based out of the Milliman office in Indianapolis, IN but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US. This job posting is expected to close on July 31, 2026. Compensation The overall salary range for this role is $117,500 - $249,780. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus-plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits. For candidates residing in: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia: $135,125 - $222,985 if overall experience is less than 15 years; and $151,340 - $249,780 for experience greater than 15 years.
