About The Position

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing advanced clinical skills.
  • Develops differential diagnoses and creates individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
  • Offers specialized therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of veterans including those with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders.
  • Manages complex cases involving multiple service needs. Coordinates care with other providers and community resources.
  • Ensures continuity of care by facilitating transitions of care and providing follow-up services.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of mental health programs and services.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes for veterans.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in accordance with VA policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable legal, ethical, and professional standards.
